I spent some time in south west Ireland over the past few days. This was taken from the prom in Lahinch and there will be a few more from there along with some from Inch County Kerry over the next day or so All my life I’ve wanted to get a shot like this. In theory I [...] Yesterday, I spent a good part of the day driving. My route took me from Dublin to Limerick to Ennis to Lahinch to Doolin to Kinvarra to Galway and back to Dublin. My car says that was more than 600km. My purse says that was six tolls and my geography reckons I hit 11 counties [...] Yes. I know. It’s late and today I estimate I have driven something like 600km. I drove from Dublin to Limerick to Lahinch to Ennistymon to Galway to Dublin. In so doing I scored six motorways – take that professional drivers – and spent about 7 hours in the car. All to get the hell [...] Last night. Those waves are quite small as in I didn’t regret the fact that limited movement means I can’t get into a wetsuit at the moment (kids: never play badminton cos a badminton injury can mess up your surfing activity 10 years later, still) but from this vista, they still look quite impressive. Regular reader-I-mean-victims [...] This went down quite well with the pixie community yesterday. I’m tempted to take the advice I’m being given and put it on a large canvas. For anyone who is wondering, when the tide comes in on Garrettstown Beach, it reaches the seawall, and breaks against it. I like stuff like that so have a [...] and I had planned to go to Oahu in January to a surf photography course and for various family reasons it just collapsed out of my life as a possibility.
