This is from a couple of weeks ago on the beach during full moon. Somewhere in the vaults of my mind is a plot for a book which involved following the path of light cast by the moon out of an enclosed bay to adventure. I got as far as mapping the enclosed bay, and doing [...] Declan drove me to Garretstown, Co Cork, where I had some fun playing with the filters and the waves while he and Anne went walking on the beach in the twilight. The tide was high, but there were a few waves so I had a go at creating stuff. I was not, I think, altogether successful, [...] This was from the first filter session way back. It’s still one of my favourite photographs. The photograph consists of three stacked filters, two ND grads and a tobacco grad which is a worrying fetish which I developed overtime. It was, at the time, an impulse purchase so really I am surprised that I got stuff [...] I’ve a feeling the jpg convert has murdered this a little. I owe thanks to Richard for lending me the filters. I was on the beach to take action shots, not moon shots. This is from a fullmoon night….beautiful evening on Dollymount. The Scott Kelby annual Worldwide Photowalk was a couple of weeks ago. I can’t quite figure out what I think of this concept to be honest; it’s possible that my view is slightly coloured by being a little underwhelmed by the last Kelby book which I read (about photography rather than Photoshop); that being said, some [...] I used to have a site called Dancing Shades of Light. It has died. This is my new home. I hope it’s a happier place for me than the old site was before it started to die under the weight of Gumblar attacks.
