I’m still not taking m/any photographs of late although the camera is in the car with me most days for the purposes of fantastic sunsets, when the clouds go south for the summer that is. Soon, hopefully.

I can’t remember what I was doing when I took this. The date on the photograph is July last year, and I’ve a sneaking suspicion it was a playing with the flash moment but beyond that, not sure. Anyway, it somehow missed its route onto the blog so 7 months late, here it is.

A few links for the day.

Two very different photographs from Richard.

Shadows as seen from the Eiffel Tower from Jennifer

Moonrise, Gates of the Valley from John

I’m coming to get you from Darren

Conference Call from Tommie

Art Wolfe has been out and about with an iPhone in Bangkok

Joe McNally is in Malaysia

I somehow missed this Robin from Danny along with Half Full

Frozen in Time from John Smyth

  • Hey Treasa,

thanks for the trackback! I really like your shot, its nicely full of life and complexity. Last week I was judging a photo competition for the Ballyfermot CC, and one of their entries was a tryptich of water drops shots, those and now your shot have given me some ideas that I’ll be trying out soon!

    Hi Richard,

I have rather a water fetish thing going between the sea shots and other miscellaneous games with stuff dripping.

I have plans involving water, red food colouring and a broken wine glass too….I need to have a little fun with the camera soon.

  • Great shot Treasa, I really like it. Did you do much processing on it? The colours are great, were they caused by the metal sink?

  • Treasa

I probably ran up the blackslider a little in Adobe RAW but can’t think of anything much else. And yes, it’s a metal sink. I imagine the fact that there’s a tiny little bit of blue gel stuck to my flash may have added to it though.

Thanks both of you by the way.

Hiya Treasa, Cool shot! Love the framing effect of the outers swirls, and the fantastic detail in the water.

  • Thanks a mil for the linkback Treasa. Love the texture (if that’s the word) and colour in this shot. Like Richard, I must experiment a bit more with stuff like this.

    Paula, Danny, thanks a million.

I’m interested to see the feedback this got over some of the other photographs. Makes me wonder what draws people out to leave remarks.

I want to experiment some more with stuff like this but I really don’t know what I want to photograph lately.
