I used to have a site called Dancing Shades of Light. It has died.
This is my new home. I hope it’s a happier place for me than the old site was before it started to die under the weight of Gumblar attacks.
This photograph was taken in Malahide, Dublin, Ireland. The effect was achieved by using a collection of filters, long exposures and and pure chance that I accidentally picked up and moved the camera while it was still open. I think the exposure was around 30 seconds – must have been since I had time to get the line of trees exposed anyway.
A lot of people really liked this photograph, and given its popularity, I thought it was a fitting opener for the new site.

Best of luck with the new site , I hope you can manage to avoid the scumbags.
Nice shot to start off with.
Thanks John, I hope I manage to avoid them as well.
I’ve added you to the linklist on the left. Hope you don’t mind.
Good luck with the new site. I only found it today while looking for something else, although I had been intermittently curious where you’re posting these days as DSL, etc haven’t had any updates in ages.
